Cotton Sarees in Gurgaon, Handpainted Sarees in Gurgaon

Dress with Cottons Drapes, May Cotton Couture Define, said the host in an invitation
with a dress code of Made in India. Let’s dine with Indian cool vegetable recipes
and cool ourselves with Green Coconuts. Though the invite was cool and chic,
many sulked as the temperatures sizzled and perspired with the heat.

And as friends and families settled down in the courtyard,  each of us, gathered
close to Prof Dr Phogat for a session on the dressing for the season and the social
responsibilities that laid in our lives. These informal sessions of Cotton Sarees in Gurgaon
were much necessary and as we gathered to hear on the tips the  ninety year young
Dr Phogat who is also taken as an encyclopedia, spoke on the necessity of cotton
coutures for men and women , boys and girls.

Above all we were keen to hear her take on cottons in Haryana. As a retired professor,
she spoke on the cotton belt of Haryana giving us vital statistics. Keeping all that
aside she sighed that it was necessary to speak on the available  best of cottons,
besides the added compulsion of being traditional. In the beginning women wore
coarse cotton sarees. Today the coarse cotton has been made softer through a lot
of detailing in it.

And as she spoke she asked for Chaudhry to unravel her  carry bags. The very sight
of him made the male battalion move to a nearby choupal. Prof  Phogat advised that
summers could be enjoyed with the soothing colours of cotton sarees in Gurgaon from Bandini Sarees. Her statement always is taken as  an endorsement by the senior counsel
in our social hierarchy..

Bandini Cotton Sarees which she got  through her son’s referral had Tie
and Die Sarees, Mul Muls, Kotas and Mhow sarees, cottons of Narayan pet and Kota
sarees. She said that she wished to celebrate the house warming ceremony and needed
gifts. Knowing each member of her family she decided to share her selected Kota Cotton
bought from Bandini. Giving a note to another friend of mine she said that she found
amazing Kota square boxes with square like patterns known as khats. While lending
the baton to the youngsters, she said that it is better to  carry hand painted sarees,
at one’s workplace. Today’s generations have various options with Hand Painted sarees
and as a typical mother would do, she advised that we take her grand daughter-in -law Neema,
a European to Bandini.  On our visit we saw an eclectic mix of tradition and practises.
The new collections that come from Bandini Sarees are Hand Painted in Gurgaon which were
Patachitra Sarees of  Odisha, Batik Sarees, Bhagalpuri Sarees, tribal hand painted ethnic sarees of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Kalamkari sarees.
Nothing escaped Neema’s eyes as she set her hands on Bhagalpuri sarees.
A Fashion afficianodo who came on her regular visit carried Hand painted Madhubani Sarees for her five sisters.

Educating us that Madhubani  comes in five different presentations which included  Bharni, the Katchni and Tantrik depicting Gods and Goddesses, flora and fauna, and Godna and Gobar reflect the daily life of people. As we passed by we saw a lady who wished to order and asked the hostess for Hand-Painted Sarees that had showcased on a mannequeen were a special blue muga cotton with the painting of the Amber Palace on it. Perceiving that  the six-yard drape has always made for an extensive canvas for designers to present their creativity on, the sarees one after the other went to be billed as women exclaimed in mellifluous tones. Friends and comrades, sisters and sisters in law of the Phogats and the Chaudhry family took the exquisite collections. As the group relaxed with a Pudina based soft drink, a small box containing unseen broaches were given as take aways.   The ladies requested that they wanted some hand painted sarees for Neema and international group which they intended to gift. The hostess took note of their passion. She included the hand painted sarees that had designs for incorporations -traditional motifs of creepers, flowers, animals, birds, flutes and unconventional designs of lamps, pots, instruments, jewellery.

The story did not end there . With the function after a couple of days the group that was invited assembled in handpainted and cottons at the hosts home. Ranking them as ultimate, the saree sizzlers were called as Saree Designers and brand ambassadors. Sharing their phone numbers and email IDS each were nominated for a higher assignment .. India and Indian women post 2000  have redefined the Hand Painted Saree Statements as seen in Bandini….
